‘This piece was made during a particularly difficult period. Namely, during one of Victoria’s lockdowns. Holding onto my sense of spirituality and faith became extremely challenging at some points. The only way to root out the confusion and frustration in a healthy way was to focus on channelling ‘sabr’ (persistence) through art and allow it to bring me back to my ultimate purpose.’
