Mysha Islam
Mysha Islam is a Bangladeshi-born visual artist and photographer, currently lives and works in Melbourne. After finishing her studies at Boston Language institute and Harvard Extension School in 2014 she came to Australia and completed her Masters in Primary teaching from Deakin University in 2019.
Mysha is a self-described storyteller with an ability to capture universal narratives that transcend cultural and geographical boundaries through common subjects like everyday objects, people, and natural light. Her works have been featured in international publications and have been exhibited globally.
“I look at the world through a childlike mind and bring out the creativity in everyday objects which is often overlooked by the average adult. My photography involves simplicity and a minimum amount of components to convey an idea or story”.
