Hasina bioMita Chowdhury is a migrant Australian artist. Her works are plagued with the idea of cultural duality, gender, identity, positionality and intersectionality. Culture, identity, intersectionality & social issues take place in her work in various forms, methods and techniques which add another dimension to her work.
Mita called herself an ‘A Global Citizen’. Born and raised in Bangladesh and migrate to Australia in 2007 during her early twenties. Mita currently works and lives in Melbourne. She is currently finishing her BFA at RMIT University.
Mita is still an emerging artist who staged her first solo exhibition this year, also participated in many group exhibitions in Australia and abroad.
